SOUNDMON MODULES
SYNTHETIC ADAPTIONS OF WELL KNOWN MODULES
These are converted by myself, so don't expect to much. I'm a coder not a musician.

Some of these songs are conversions from well known Commodore 64 games (the real C64 lovers will
know 'em, songs like 'Commando', 'Green Beret' etc...). The 'Ghosts'N'Goblins' tune (also a C64
conversion) is usually credited to Sebastiaan Lentfert.
However this song was fetched from some music disk by me,
and I added the drums to it. Sebastiaan converted the
original sampled sounds to synth sounds using one of the very first Soundmon versions and
the 'STCONVERT' program, a tool I had written in Modula-2 to convert soundtracker songs to
soundmon songs. I have no idea who the original composer is, however, this guy (girl?) probably
hates our guts for stealing(?) his/her music.... Sorry about that, but I was not responsible for
people giving us the credits where we didn't deserve them.
If you're interested in finding (many) more soundmon tunes, you might try visiting:
Exotica (homepage) or direct to its
Soundmon page.
This guy has songs even I didn't have in my collection ;-).
You can also download BSPlay for Dreamcast and burn the CD
image to CD. There are 132 songs included within this image, from various composers.
Alternatively, this (almost 4Mb in size)
zip file also contains the same 132 modules, these can be used with any of the replayers (
PC, Linux, GP32,
Mac, Dreamcast or others as they are available.
Furthermore I converted a bunch of C64 and Soundmon songs to general midi (.mid) files and
recorded those from my MT-32 (an old synthesizer from the 80's). You can try
this link to listen to them.
